Since 2012

A family cellar, open to the neighborhood

Copperbarrel started with forty wines, a secondhand rack, and a stubborn rule we still keep: if we wouldn't pour it at our own table, it doesn't go on the shelf.

Tasted first, shelved second

Every bottle in the shop passes a staff tasting. We argue about it, score it, pair it with Tuesday dinner — and only then decide. That is why the shelf is small on purpose: around fourteen wines at a time, each one earning its place.

Direct relationships with family vineyards in Napa, Bordeaux, Piedmont and beyond mean allocations you won't find at the big-box stores, at prices that stay honest.

What we stand for

Honest recommendations

Tell us your budget and your dinner plan. We'll point at the right shelf — even if it's the $26 one.

Small growers first

Family estates and independent winemakers get pride of place, vintage after vintage.

A place to learn

Free Friday tastings, pairing evenings and a journal full of guides — no question too basic.
